- $2 "Right-side-up" Inverted Jenny still available?by /u/being_here on April 19, 2021
The $2 Inverted Jenny sheet of 6 is still being sold through the USPS catalog. Does anyone know if they have removed all of the valuable "right-side up" deliberate error sheets from this supply? submitted by /u/being_here [link] [comments]

- Where is a good place to buy postcards?by /u/ClusterWhoops on April 19, 2021
I went to a stamp show for the first time yesterday. It got me really interested in collecting postcards. I spent way too much on them. Where’s a good place online to look for both used and new postcards? submitted by /u/ClusterWhoops [link] [comments]
- Need help with an issue using old stampsby /u/klatoo304 on April 18, 2021
Copied by my thread in r/USPS Anyone else having issues using old postage lately? I have acquired several hundred old stamps ranging from 5¢ to 40¢. Every time I use them or a combination of them my letter is delayed easily 2 to 3 weeks. They are all unused they were all in that old wax paper that you used to get stamps in from the post office. I’ve done several tests where I split a bill in half and pay half utilizing a forever stamp in half utilizing a combination of old stamps and the forever stamp gets there in 3 to 5 business days where as the old stamps get there in approximately 10 to 14 business days. The only way I really know this is because the forever stamp check is deposited and it takes forever for the other one to finally clear. My local PO doesn’t have much else to add. Even brought the old stamps and they were disinterested. Any help most appreciated. submitted by /u/klatoo304 [link] [comments]
- Hey all! I’m new here & just started collecting. I was wondering if stamps like these can be used on letters? I’ve looked online to find the postage value but haven’t come across much. Apologies if this seems like a silly question. Thanks!by /u/kingflipflop on April 18, 2021

- TIL when, in 1993, the US postal service issued a commemorative postage stamp honoring Elvis Presley's 58th birthday, fans mailed envelopes with first-day issues of the stamp to fictitious addresses so that they would receive their letters back, marked with the words "return to sender".by /u/maxiewawa on April 18, 2021

- I'd often wondered why some Norwegian stamps had a different spelling Norge/Noreg and today I found out it's due to Norway having two separate written languages! Bokmål and Nynorsk, with Norge being the spelling in Bokmål and Noreg in Nynorsk. Apparently only around 15% of Norwegians use Nynorsk.by /u/Midlandsofnowhere on April 17, 2021

- [Trade] Looking for colonial era stampsby /u/freeeraze on April 17, 2021
So Ive recently started to finalize sorting through my own, aswell as multiple inherited collections. My collection focuses on Namibia, South Africa and Germany through all their respective historical phases. In relation to this, I am looking to expand my still somewhat lacking collection on colonial and imperial era stamps, especially those of the African continent. Since the once pinned thread seems to no longer be relevant, I decided to create my own post. Im especially interested in German, British and Portuguese territories and colonies, however any colonial era stamps are of interest to me. I have all kinds of stamps from many different countries, and all eras, but ranging mostly from the early 30's to the mid 80's. I also have a large collection of modern Namibian and German stamps, aswell as a wild hodgepodge of international (mostly european) stamps issued between 2000 and today. Wether youre looking to trade singles, mutiples or bunches, wether you collect countries or motives, Im sure I have something among my collection that might be of interest to you. I mostly collect, and am mostly interested in, well preserved, used and cancelled stamps. So most of what I have to offer will be along those lines. If this piqued your interest please feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a dm, Im sure we can work something out from there. Also I should add that I live in Germany, so of course inter-european exchange (due to postal costs) is preferred, but any and all interest is welcome. Thanks for reading this wall of ugly text, have a great day! submitted by /u/freeeraze [link] [comments]

I don't remember how much I paid for it, other than that I got in a bidding war and ended up paying more than I had planned to (there's no sniping on Yahoo Auctions). Anyway, it's a collection of Manchukuo commemorative cancels (mostly for first day of issue) from 1938 to 1943. What makes it a little more interesting is that it's on Manchukuo government stationary. Whether that means the original collector was a government employee or this had some kind of official purpose, I have no idea. submitted by /u/cckerberos [link] [comments]
